73 Moto / A shared rhythm

Motorcycles are the excuse. The people are the reason.

73 Moto was created as a place for people who love motorcycle culture to feel at home.

Ride every day, ride once a year, wrench on your own bike, or just love the way it all

looks and feels. It doesn’t matter. You’re welcome here.

73 Moto / the beginning

This is where it started.

I’ve been a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. Actually, maybe motorcycles aren’t where it started. Maybe it was always about going fast and feeling free.

If we’re going all the way back, my first adrenaline machine was a Big Wheel when I was about five years old. If you’re a fellow Gen Xer, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The whole goal was to get that thing moving as fast as possible, crank the hand brake and send yourself sliding sideways.

Something woke up inside me on that Big Wheel.

It never went back to sleep.

This is where it started.

A Big Wheel, a motorless motorcycle, and eventually a BMW R nineT. The story of how a lifelong need to go fast and feel free became 73 Moto.
